Exeter Artspaces is a not-for-profit, artist-led organisation set up to offer affordable studio space to artists and makers. We exist for the benefit of both studio users and a wider community of artists and their audiences across the region.

Not-for-profit means we charge our members only what it costs to run the space and the associated organisation. There are no paid positions. Any surplus is re-invested in the organisation.

Artist-led means the organisation is run by the artists, not for the artists. All full members share responsibility for the organisation and upkeep of the studios.

Affordable means managing our shared resources to keep costs as low as possible and collaborating to apply for grants and sponsorship when possible.

We are currently based at a temporary studio building in Central Exeter. From here, we plan to move on to establish more permanent studios in the city, ideally with the help of commercial or public sector partners.
